Facts and stats

The Radio Academy is a registered charity dedicated to 'the encouragement, recognition and promotion of excellence in UK broadcasting and audio production'. It runs the annual Radio Festival conference.

Until 2015, the Radio Academy was also the organiser of the Sony Radio Awards (latterly the Radio Academy Awards). In an announcement on 7 November 2014, this event was cancelled as part of a reorganisation, and all office staff of the Academy made redundant.
