Virgin Radio is back – and now we’re looking for a talented and experienced news presenter to join Edith Bowman’s Breakfast Show.

Based at our studios in central London you’ll be working with Edith and the team every morning, creating and presenting bulletins live in studio.

You must have a great voice, a positive attitude and an unwavering desire to produce and present engaging and informative bulletins. You need to have the experience that comes with working in a busy newsroom. You also need an engaging personality and a good team player.

You MUST

• Have a minimum of 2yrs experience working in a busy newsroom.
• Exercise sound editorial judgement
• Generate original ideas and think creatively about how to communicate them to audiences
• Be able to create high quality, relevant and accurate bulletins targeted to the audience
• Understand legal and broadcast regulations.
• Work calmly and effectively under pressure, react quickly, and meet tight deadlines
• Have excellent communication skills
• Maintain a working interest in news and current affairs and good general knowledge
• Be able to learn how to use a variety of recording equipment and to operate different radio studios
• Be flexible

This is a freelance position with a twelve month contract
