A full-time journalism job at JACKfm and JACK2 Oxfordshire in Oxford

Broadcast Journalist,106 JACK FM /JACK2 Oxfordshire

JACKfm is the most award winning local radio station in the UK and its baby sister station JACK2 looks set to follow in its footsteps.

We're a creative bunch of people who as well as reading, writing and reporting news, also create radio packages and one-off news specials. We pride ourselves with the knowledge that our news isn't just about what happens during the 3 minute bulletin but also for the other 57 minutes of the hour.

We're lucky that our patch enables us to take part in some pretty cool events - we've flown over Buckingham Palace as part of Royal flyovers, we've been to Afghanistan with RAF Brize Norton and Cyprus with Dalton Barracks. On top of this we've covered the day-to-day news which has seen us reporting from the centre of the Operation Bullfinch trial, waist-deep in water during the floods and speaking to Prime Minister and Witney MP David Cameron.

We're looking for a creative, multi-skilled broadcast journalist who is as comfortable finding and reporting on exclusive stories as they are reading bulletins for two different stations with different target audiences. If you're qualified, have top notch legal knowledge, a great voice and believe you have something that could enhance our output then we want to hear from you. If you enjoy a cheeky drink after work that'd be the icing on the cake!

The ideal candidates will be qualified, a brilliant voice, a creative flair and of course have great reading/writing and reporting skills. Please be aware that the role may involve weekend work.

This job closed on 6 March, 2015 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
