Broadcast Journalist

A full-time journalism job at Yorkshire Coast Radio in Scarborough, United Kingdom
Posted 27 April 2015, 7.16am edt

Yorkshire Coast Radio has been broadcasting to an idyllic stretch of the coastline for more than 21 years.

Owned by the UKRD Group and based in Scarborough, 52,000 adults listen to us every week. This makes us the number one local radio station in England for weekly reach in its area, which serves towns and villages in the two counties of North Yorkshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

We’re looking for a full-time Broadcast Journalist. You will have experience working in a busy commercial newsroom and be happy reporting as well as having the voice and confidence to deliver top-quality news bulletins on air.

You’ll recognise and understand the value of truly local radio in a sector where this is becoming more and more rare – and you’ll also be keen to forge strong relationships with the key people in our patch.

Passion and dedication will be your main qualities, as you help to deliver stories which engage, excite and entertain our listeners.

This job closed on 11 May, 2015 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
