A full-time creative job at Wireless Group in Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom
Posted 19 May 2017, 9.03am edt

Let us introduce ourselves.. We are the Wireless Group and we recruit awesome people.

We believe that if you work for us, we can offer an exciting career path within one of the UK’s largest media organisations. Wireless Group is part of News UK, which is part of News Corp – a global media business focused on creating and distributing content that educates, entertains, informs and inspires our customers.

Online, offline, at work and at play News UK is the proud owner of a stable of news and media brands including the Sun and the Times Newspapers, that span the most popular to the most respected, covering the highbrow to the lowdown; providing the first flash and the last word.

Wireless Group is now a part of News UK. Our Radio GB division operates four national radio stations; including talkSPORT the world's biggest sports radio station, and Virgin Radio. It also operates 12 independent local radio (ILR) stations in England and Wales, and a number of digital radio multiplexes throughout GB.

Right now we are looking for an experienced Creative Writer to join our multi-award winning Advertising Team at Signal 1 and 2 in Stoke on Trent. One of our writers is heading off to another part of the world, and he’s leaving behind a pretty large pair of creative shoes to fill. We would have preferred him to take his shoes with him, but he’s leaving them behind anyway. They're in a box behind his desk.

That’s where you step in!

You’ll have a proven track record of writing successful radio commercials; you will be able to take listeners on mind twisting audio adventures. You will understand the power of sound and how to harness that sound into supersonic sales. You’ll have also worked closely with account managers and commercial producers, and worked together to create unforgettable, effective radio campaigns for clients.

In return, we can offer you a competitive salary, commission, and a one to one introduction to the woman who runs the chippy at the bottom of the road. Extra chips guaranteed!

This job closed on 2 June, 2017 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
