Full Time Radio Presenter

A full-time creative job at United Christian Broadcasters in Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom
Posted 9 February 2017, 10.00am est

Presenting a live daily show on a national Christian radio station like UCB 1 is not for the faint-hearted!

You need to be in control of the studio technology, work with the playout system, keep up-to-date with Christian music, interview a variety of guests, carefully prepare your shows, introduce creative content, be a team player, not take yourself too seriously and let your personal faith shine through in everything you do and say.

UCB will be appointing a new, full-time radio presenter to join the fantastic team who keep the nation entertained and encouraged. Though you would be expected to work on any programme – it is likely you would begin by presenting a live daily show (4pm-7pm) plus recording other shows during the week. So, for this shift, you would work late morning until early evening.

As well as being a skilled radio presenter, you also need to have a natural on-air personality, a sense of humour, an interest in the real world and a genuine passion to see lives changed by the power of God’s word.

Have you got what it takes to create unmissable Christian radio? Take a careful look at the Job Description at www.ucb.co.uk and, if you believe this is for you, send us your application together with a suitable showreel/demo to illustrate your skills as a radio presenter.

Please note that soon after the closing date, we will arrange a Skype conversation with those being considered for interview (see dates below).

This position is based at the Broadcast Centre in Hanchurch near Stoke-on-Trent, just off Junction 15 of the M6. (As there is no public transport so you would need your own transport.)

If you have any questions, please contact our HR team: ucb@ucb.co.uk – please include FAO: Human Resources Department in the subject line.

Salary: Based on skill and experience; plus a selection of staff benefits

Closing Date: Monday 6 March – (12 noon)

Shortlisting (by Skype/Facetime): Friday 10th March

Interviews: Friday 31st March (morning/early afternoon)

UCB is a Christian organisation. Schedule 9 Part 1 (3a) and (3b) of the Equality Act 2010 apply to this vacancy

This job closed on 6 March, 2017 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
