Role: Managing Director

Territory: Anglian

Reporting to: Regional Managing Director

What we’re all about: Celador Radio forms part of the Celador Entertainment Group. We’re famous around the world for, amongst others, devising and launching the quiz show ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ and producing the film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. We also own and operate twenty five local and regional radio stations across the south of England. We are dedicated to championing the individual creativity inherent in our stations and talent because we believe this is the only way to deliver high quality local content at a national level.

What the job entails: As Managing Director of Celador’s Anglia radio stations you will be responsible for all day to day operations with a particular focus on Commercial strategy.
You will be the face of Celador in Anglia and work to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across the region, generating new business initiatives and development plans where appropriate.

You will also be the right-hand person to the Regional MD, helping to lead the team by example and set the business culture.

What are we looking for? You must be an effective manager with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to respond flexibly and positively to changing circumstances or requirements and have a thorough understanding of the competitors and markets within your region. You need to have strong organisational skills and be able to plan and prioritise.

Ultimately, above all you need commercial acumen and a ‘can do’ attitude. As well as this, it’s important that you can demonstrate Celador’s values:

  • Freedom to be creative, to come up with new ideas, to do things differently and to be ourselves.
  • Dedication to creating the highest quality output.
  • Care for our teams and the local communities we serve.
  • Above everything else to have a passion for radio.
