It’s a great opportunity to get all-round experience, working on a massive variety of platforms in a real-world environment.

What will you be doing? Using our in-house CMS, you’ll be making sure our portfolio of websites are always running, look as great, and are user-friendly. From news, to programming and lots of others in between - Lots of people use the websites, and you’ll be providing support to them. Designing and maintaining pages using Adobe Photoshop, HTML, CSS and elements of PHP. Graphic design – both for online and real-world use. Using the Wordpress platform to help maintain websites for third parties. Putting together Email Marketing campaigns. Dealing directly with clients to help deliver marketing messages. We’re a small team, so from time to time there will be the opportunity to help out in some of the other areas we cover too.

What we’re looking for: Someone that has a genuine interest in the digital world, including websites, social media, video platforms – and pretty much anything online. Someone with experience in building and maintaining websites. Using HTML, CSS, JS, and PHP skills. Someone with an understanding of Social Media Marketing. Someone that understands the importance of the digital marketplace for SME businesses. Someone that has a good eye for detail, and the ability to spot opportunities – no matter how unconventional they might be. Someone that can create engaging and exciting online copy. Someone who is familiar with using the full-suite of Microsoft Office products, including Powerpoint, Word and Excel. A great communicator, both virtually and in-person. An organised person, who can plan their workload effectively and work to tight timescales. Someone that is looking to grow and develop in one of the fastest-growing departments in our business.

Other desirable qualities: Experience in using Facebook Insights, Twitter Insights and Google Analytics. Experience in domain name registration, management, ownership and transfers. Experience and understanding of maintaining e-commerce solutions. Experience in customer relations. Proficient in using Adobe Photoshop. An understanding of intellectual property rights, copyright law and data protection regulations.

Pirate FM is a market-leader when it comes to producing engaging and effective digital products, and this is your chance to develop yourself personally and professionally with the beach on your doorstep.

In exchange for your hard work and dedication, we promise to help you develop and make sure that every day you leave work fulfilled and excited about what the next day brings.

We’re a great place to work – in fact, we’ve just won a Gold Award from ScanCapture for the recent results of a independent employee survey; some of the highest ranking results they’ve ever seen.

We work hard - and we play hard. You get weekends and Bank Holidays off and when you are here, it’s a fun environment to work in. No two days are ever the same, and our entire office runs on cake. No seriously.
