Radio Presenter/ Producer (Salisbury Garrison)

A full-time creative job at BFBS in Salisbury
Posted 25 May 2017, 4.05am edt

The British Forces Broadcasting Service is looking for a Producer/Presenter for our community station based within the military base near Salisbury Plain.

Come and be part of our unique blend of music and speech radio dedicated to British Forces audiences wherever they’re serving in the UK and overseas.

To be suitable for the role, you’ll have spent at least two years in contemporary music sequence presentation and ideally also have experience in producing compelling speech-led features including packages, reports and interviews. You’ll be able to prove your success in delivering creative ideas within self-produced programmes; the ability to incorporate digital/social networking initiatives will already be second nature.

You’ll be able to demonstrate that you’re resourceful, innovative, flexible and reliable, you’ll have bags of personality and enthusiasm on and off air and be excited at the prospect of a full-on role working alongside the British Armed Forces.

This is a fully mobile contract which could take you on unaccompanied long term overseas assignments, so a willingness to live in a military community and an adventurous nature are both essential.

We ask a lot of our broadcasters; in return, we’ll give you the chance to develop your talent in a creative, non-commercial, ideas led environment with plenty of guidance to realise your talents to their full potential.

For the right candidate – this is a fantastic opportunity to make exceptional radio for an extraordinary audience.

This job closed on 9 June, 2017 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
