Technical Operations Assistant

A full-time engineering job at The Spectrum Radio Network in London, United Kingdom
Posted 1 April 2015, 11.00am edt

Do you want to develop your technical and organisational skills as part of Europe’s biggest multi ethnic radio organisation? We are looking for someone hungry to break into the industry and develop on their existing passion for the broadcast IT, engineering and operational aspects of making a modern radio station run successfully.

The Spectrum Radio Network helps radio brands from all over the world broadcast their programmes across London from our studios and broadcast centre in Battersea. Major radio stations from China, Poland and Qatar are just a few of our clients.

You’ll need to show your commitment and passion for the technical and operational side of radio either through having done a training course or by having been involved at other stations. This isn’t an on air position but you’ll need to be very comfortable operating a studio desk. We’ll also want you to get involved with the website and our social media strategy.

Working to the management team you’ll want to build on your existing knowledge and learn everything you can about radio station engineering and IT. You’ll also be heavily involved in production, studio training and the day-to-day organisation of the office. Technically you’ll learn from some of the best engineers and operations people in the business in a fascinating, fast moving and varied environment.

The job could be part time or full time
