Volunteers Needed!

A part-time programming job at Golden Radio in London
Posted 23 March 2017, 7.34pm edt

This job is not paid

Sister stations Trash Can Radio and Golden Radio are looking for more volunteers! Whether you're a presenter, producer or salesperson, we would love to hear from you!

======================================================

About us: Trash Can Radio is an online station, focusing on Rock and Roll, Punk, Trash and everything loud. Golden Radio is on London/Surrey DAB and online, focusing on the sixties-and up to the present music. Both stations believe that the current UK Radio market is terribly and tragically stale and there is space for a creative station in the style of underground, pirate radio. Both have very large loyal listernerships. We are a great stepping stone into what the radio industry should be like Each station is a pioneer and maverick, trying to revolutionize and change the way radio is and how it should be. Both stations play what they want, when they want and if they want and pride themselves on playing what the public wants but cannot hear through the major UK radio corporations.

About you:

You MUST live, consume, think and love radio. You are always on the look out for good content. You love the editing, the buzz of being on air or the securing of a new customer... Or all three! You should want a career in media, or at least be open to the idea. It would be helpful if you lived within travelling distance of Crystal Palace and SE London, but if you can hear us on DAB or anywhere even online or your mobile device then we are YOUR local station - we don't expect to see you every day, but you should definitely pop in a few times to get a feel for the place. Keeping in touch with us at base camp is very important.

Some previous radio experience is recommended but not necessary as enthusiasm goes a long way in being helpful . Once again, these are voluntary positions for a station on a major platform in one of the largest cities in the world - unpaid, but lots of fun.

This job closed on 20 April, 2017 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
