From Monday 1 September 2014, LBC is introducing the Money Hour, a brand new show dedicated to consumer finance, co-created with Experian, the global information services company. Every Monday evening from 9.00pm till 10.00pm, LBC’s Clive Bull and money expert and entrepreneur Sarah Willingham, will co-host the new Money Hour.

The show will cover all the financial issues that affect LBC listeners on a day-to-day basis, from mortgage rates, savings, loans and the cost of sending a child to university, to saving for a wedding, and advice on how to get the best personal finance deals.

Experian helps people manage and improve their credit rating to make sure they get access to the credit they deserve, and at the best rates. The partnership with LBC is designed to educate consumers on how to understand their financial past and identify the areas they can improve. Experian’s resident money expert and head of consumer affairs, James Jones, and experts from other organisations and businesses, will join Bull and Willingham. The new show marks the first move from Experian into branded content.

Mike Gordon, chief commercial officer at LBC's owner Global, said: “This is a fantastic partnership. Advertiser funded programming is a great way for brands to educate audiences. We’re confident the Money Hour will be both interesting and informative for LBC listeners, and will also help Experian reach new audiences with an important message.”

Phil Sweeney, head of marketing channels at Experian, said: “This sponsorship is the latest initiative in our ongoing consumer education campaign. We’re delighted to reach such a captive audience, and to have the opportunity to discuss the financial issues that really matter in their day-to-day lives. We have a great line-up of experts, and are very happy to be working with LBC.”

The show will run for 13 weeks initially.
