Orion Media brands Free Radio and Gem 106 continue to grow

The latest audience figures, published today by RAJAR, shows further growth for Midlands-based Orion Media’s radio brands, with total listening to all Orion stations up 11% in the last three months*.

Free Radio - Number 1

Free Radio is the most listened to commercial radio brand for its West Midlands area, with total listening (Free FM + Free 80s combined) growing by 8% over the last three months. 735,000 people now tune-in to the brand each week**.

Total listening to Free Radio FM also grew by 14% in the last three months. Reach grew by 3% over the same period with 660,000 people tuning in to Free Radio FM each week**.

Free Radio recently gave away a share of £30,000 in The Free Radio Phantom competition, and has just announced the first two acts - Nicole Scherzinger and Ed Sheeran - for the Free Radio Live 2014 event at the LG Arena in Birmingham on November 29.

Gem 106 - Market Leaders

Gem 106, the home of award winning breakfast duo Sam & Amy, is the most listened to commercial station for the East Midlands with total listening growing by 16% in the last three months. The number of listeners also grew by 5% over the same period with 461,000 people tuning in each week***.

Free Radio Birmingham and Black Country The latest audience figures, published by RAJAR, show that total listening to Free Radio across Birmingham and The Black Country has grown by 19% in the last three months. This means 380,000 people now tune in each week*. Total listening to the Free Radio brand (FM + AM combined) has grown by 8% over the last three months. Free Radio Coventry and Warwickshire Free Radio is the most listened to local radio station for Coventry and Warwickshire, according to the latest audience figures.

Free Radio Shropshire Free Radio continues to be the Number 1 commercial radio station for Shropshire according to the latest RAJAR figures.

Free Radio Herefordshire and Worcestershire Free Radio continues to be the Number 1 commercial radio station for Herefordshire & Worcestershire, with 90,000 listeners now tuning into Free Radio across the area every week.
