Asia Pop 40 has now launched in the Philippines on Monster Radio, effective from December 2014.

Asia Pop 40 is the first regional weekly chart countdown radio show produced in Asia specifically for Asian radio.

Each week Asia Pop 40 counts down the most popular downloads on iTunes across Asia, showcasing iTunes charts from multiple markets to produce a pan-regional radio programme. Asia Pop 40’s launch into the Philippines brings the total number of markets where Asia Pop 40 can be heard to in excess of 20 across Southeast Asia.

Creator & Executive Producer Rob Graham stated that for the English- version of the show, the Philippines represents one of Asia’s most fanatical music markets, saying, “We are thrilled to be launching Asia Pop 40 in the Philippines with Monster. Monster Radio is an iconic Filipino radio brand and airs the most cutting-edge radio programming in the country.”

Rob Graham also stated, “the Asia Pop 40 chart is quickly becoming the main reference source for what’s hot in Asian music for the world’s music media. And because AP40 is made in Asia for Asia, this makes the Asia Pop 40 chart truly relevant for Asian audiences by being Asia’s first-ever official regional chart.” The show is three hours in length and apart from showcasing the latest music, it will also feature latest movie reviews, albums reviews, artist interviews and massive competitions.

Asia Pop 40 airs every Sunday morning on Monster Radio in Davao City and Cebu. It will launch in the Manila market in early 2015.
