RAJAR Q2/14: Free Radio named No.1 in the West Midlands

The sun is shining for Orion Media after the latest RAJAR listening figures reveal total listening to its radio brandsFree Radio and Gem 106 — increased by 3% over the last three months.

The figures out today (July 31) also show that Free Radio is the most listened to commercial radio brand in its West Midlands area. Total listening (for Free FM + Free 80s combined) grew by 15% over the same period. The number of listeners also increased, by 4% over the same period, with 734,000 people tuning in every week.

The figures revealed that Gem 106, the home of award winning breakfast duo Sam & Amy, continues to entertain audiences across the East Midlands with 437,000 listeners tuning in each week. Gem is the most listened to station in its East Midlands area, amongst its target audience of adults aged 25-44.
