Rarely available opportunity for a rugby mad Sales Executive to sell a range of advertising and media opportunities in an established Rugby and Lifestyle magazine, website and other associ-ated media products.
The Company Our client is a well-established national publisher with a range of successful magazines and as-sociated online media. They currently require an Media Sales Executive to sell a range of media solutions based from their Edinburgh office. Their titles include Business to business and busi-ness to consumer magazines covering the sports and automotive sectors.
The Role You will be responsible for the sales of media opportunities to a range of business customers and advertising agencies throughout the UK. Product could include print media, digital, social media, video, content and sponsorship solutions, promotions, editorial and events. Working within a dedicated Media sales team on an established portfolio your role will involve contact-ing existing customers from an already established database of clients as well as sourcing leads and generating new business over the telephone and face to face. Customers could include manufactures, retailers, travel, motors, leisure, entertainment, sport sponsors, food and drink and other rugby lifestyle related businesses. This is a structured sale where you will identify the business needs then create, design and present innovative advertising solutions tailored to the client to ensure results. This will involve negotiating and presenting bespoke print and digital advertising solutions to key decision makers over the phone and occasionally face to face. You will be responsible for building, nurturing and developing relationships with key decision mak-ers in into key accounts. Working to revenue targets and deadlines, you will be responsible for dealing with a range of customers from SME’s to corporate clients on a national basis.
The Candidate To apply for this role it is imperative that have a genuine interest in and passion for Rugby. We are looking for someone that wants to live and breath the rugby sector and has a love for sales.
You will also require a minimum of 6 months business to business sales experience or recruit-ment experience from any sector. Many sectors will be considered including capital equipment, data leads, office furniture, office supplies, franking machines, IT equipment, IT products, training, telecoms, financial products, digital print services, cars ect. You will be target driven with a professional and articulate man-ner necessary to deal with high-level prestigious clients from Blue Chips to SMEs. You will be money motivated, commercially aware and naturally enthusiastic with tenacity and ambition and be able to demonstrate that you have a competitive edge. You will be PC literate, creative, proactive and quick thinking with the ability to develop relationships. You won’t be scared of picking up the phone and grabbing potential opportunities by the horns. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels.
The Package In return you will receive the opportunity to work in a friendly team orientated environment of an established Publishing House where opportunities exist for development and genuine high earnings. Basic to £25K (depending upon experience) + uncapped bonus (1st year OTE £36K) (2nd Year OTE rising to £44Kwith top earners earning £60K+) + benefits Increases in basic salary will be forthcoming as sales performance is proven
