A full-time journalism job at KM Media Group in Ashford, Kent

A rare opportunity has arisen to lead the news team producing the Kentish Express and the Folkestone and Hythe Express titles, part of the KM Media Group.

Based in Ashford, the successful candidate will be expected to help develop the content of the Kentish Express series covering Ashford, Tenterden and Romney Marsh, whilst maintaining the sales success of the Folkestone and Hythe Express, which saw a 10% increase in the latest round of ABC figures.

Increasing our online audience and ensuring reporters contribute to our radio and TV platforms - kmfm and KMTV - with audio and video content will also be a key requirement of the role.

We are looking for somebody bursting with ideas, a keen news sense and the ability to get the best out of a talented reporting team.

You will also have a thorough legal knowledge and be an expert in the Editors’ Code.

The role would ideally suit someone with newsdesk experience or a senior reporter looking to make the step up.
