Lots of speculation right now across industry that Chill is due to return to D1 for the station to rightly broadcast National. They have a new website, 24/7 social media, new presenters, they have recently extended to DAB East Mids , new music which seems to be getting added daily, recent market research surveys going around online.

The big question: Has Global eventually realised the potential this station has? Is it going to be the next big brand, such as Heart/Capital? One thing I do know it seems to be loved by many.

Chill followed me on Twitter this weekend. (One of a very select band of followers.) That must be a sign of something!

There was a Chill obsessive on DS who'd troll the site to talk about the station with no real news of the station. Considering there's been two posts from 'Mr Spencer' about Chill, I'd take it with a pinch of salt.

Chill, like The Arrow is purely there to renew analogue licences. One is Capital Xtra 107.1 in North London and the other is one of the Heart 4 Counties licences. I think it's the 97.6/96.9 (as both are one licence) as the DAB licence on HBB renews the MK one.
