Poor taste

I find it incredible, knowing the very high standards employed by Steve Wright, that Patrick Kielty this afternoon on the headline BBC R2 show said:
"Black Friday - that's the one day in the year when American policemen can shoot who they like - whether they've got their hands up or not".
I'm not concerned as to whether this is considered to be racially prejudiced - more that it's in very poor taste - not befitting the BBC in general - and certainly not the otherwise excellent Steve Wright Big Show.
Sincerely

I did not hear this, but, it does to me seem to be in bad taste as well. But what do you expect from an Irishman.

Brian, does that not seem a rather absurd and quite racist comment in itself?

The BBC has confirmed that it has received my complaint and tried to brush it off with the usual rather aloof apology - and makes it impossible to respond without going all the way through its complex complaints procedure again from scratch.
So I did - and told them in their attached feedback system that this aspect should be radically revised.
Ofcom has not yet responded - neither has the Steve Wright Show.
