Are you great in the mornings?

NCTJ / BJTC qualified?

Strong digital skills?

Do you live within a sensible commuting distance of central Brighton?

Fancy moving to one of the best patches in local radio?

We should talk!

We are Juice 107.2, Brighton’s local radio station that broadcasts across the Sussex coast on FM and on DAB to the counties of Sussex. We’re looking for a journalist and co-presenter to join Lou Nash on Juice Breakfast.

We’re young-at-heart, but by no means a youth station, and aside from a hotter music mix than our commercial rivals in the marketplace, it’s the room for personality, humour, and real-life that sets us apart on-air.

We’re also booming online. In 2016, page impressions were something like 350% up year-on-year at JuiceBrighton.com and this exceptional growth was driven by our news team.

On the news desk you’ll need to be bulletproof when it comes to compliance, and as comfortable writing a 500-word piece of engaging online copy as you are saying “it’s eight o’clock, I’m [INSERT NAME HERE]”.

The ideal candidate has presenting experience, but not necessarily on breakfast. Brighton’s a lively patch, so a knowledge of the city and its eccentricities as well as life on the Sussex coat will be a definite advantage.

The last person who filled these shoes joined us as an intern, progressed through our team to Head Of News and is departing these shores for a job in telly at ITV. We’re really somewhere that you can prove yourself, make your mark on the industry and try out new and exciting stuff.

There is a possibility that the right candidate could also fill the role of ‘Head Of News’ and therefore salary is D.O.E.

This job closed on 16 August, 2017 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
