Absolute Radio is looking for a new Broadcast Assistant to join the team and work on some of the most talked-about radio shows and events in commercial radio. Thanks to an internal promotion, the station is offering a 12 month contract to work in assisting the Content Director and team in the station’s daily programming activities as well as on special projects. There is also the opportunity to produce the station’s iconic request show.

The successful candidate will be passionate about radio, with a strong understanding of the broadcast and digital audio landscapes and an eagerness to learn new skills and contribute ideas. This is a broad role ideal which is ideal for a first job in radio or for someone who wants to move to a national station.

Main duties and Responsibilities; Audio editing Digital & social media management Video filming/editing Programme research Programme production

Required Skills & Competencies: Advanced knowledge of Adobe Audition, GSelector, Zetta, Sprout Social and Premiere Pro Exceptional organisational skills and ability to prioritise and juggle many tasks at once. Excellent communication and administration skills. Flexibility to work unsociable hours, evenings & weekends (this is essential) Strong understanding of social networks, online communities
