The Hours: Shift pattern to cover 7am – 7pm Monday to Friday.

The world of radio never sleeps, so in addition you will be asked to join the on-call rota with the rest of your team to provide a 24hr emergency service.

Flexibility: We want to make sure that we find the right people to work in our teams, and we know that the traditional 9-5, five days a week doesn’t suit everyone. The Job: Broadcast Engineers are key members of the team at One Golden Square. They not only support our FM, AM, DAB and IP transmission chains, they also look after our studios, our video and our playout systems. They are the people that staff turn to when something needs to get done.

Our ideal candidate will have worked in a Broadcast Engineering role for a number of years and be able to demonstrate a solid engineering or IT background. You will work in a team of other Broadcast Engineers and must be committed to high levels of service and quality. You’ll get a kick out of technology and will love working in the fast paced environment of radio. You’ll enjoy looking after our users as well as implementing and supporting elegant technical solutions. Helping people will not be a chore for you; it will be why you get out of bed each morning.

On top of all this, you’ll be good at building relationships will both users and management. You will be just as happy rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in as you will be with the big picture stuff. You will keep abreast of changes in technology and be able to pick out the updates that are suitable for our business. Above all, you will care about what comes out of the speakers and whether technology is working for our users.
