Role: Broadcast Journalist

Location: Wigan

We have an exciting opportunity to join our award winning news and sports team, at Wish, Wire and Tower FM. In the last four years, our coverage has recognition at the ARIAS and IRN Awards and we’re looking for a top class candidate to continue that momentum.

You will help deliver engaging and relevant news and sport content across three stations that broadcast to Wigan and St Helens, Warrington, Widnes, Runcorn Bolton and Bury; not only on-air but on our online and social platforms.

You will need to have a recognised journalism qualification, previous experience working in a broadcast newsroom, a great voice, a strong understanding of media law and be full of ideas.

A full driving license is essential as is the desire to work hard and ability to manage your time well.

Ideally you will be familiar with the local areas we cover, mobile video production and be able to tell a dummy half from a centre half.

The role is Monday to Friday with possible weekends too
