Broadcast Journalist
A temporary journalism job at Pirate FM in Redruth, UK
Posted 25 November 2019, 9.40am est
Cornwall isn’t all surfing, partying and sunbathing on deserted golden beaches (although, thinking about it, that does make up quite a big part of it)
Pirate FM has got one of the biggest and busiest news patches in the country, with extreme weather events (remember the flash floods at Coverack?) and the chance of bumping into stars like Poldark’s Aidan Turner!
Now we need a qualified broadcast journalist who can help deliver those stories and set the Duchy’s news agenda while one of our team’s on maternity leave.
This temporary position will need you to hit the ground running, so experience in a radio newsroom is essential.
Not only will you need a great on-air voice and tight copy-writing skills, you’ll have the ability to think about the news in a new way because producing informative and entertaining content for our website and social media platforms will be a big part of your working day.
You’ll also be working for one of the only radio groups in the UK that measures how much our audience trusts us. #nofakenewshere
