Radio Plymouth is looking for a Broadcast Journalist who is an original thinker, a great writer and has a fantastic voice. Radio Plymouth is the only commercial station providing news just for Plymouth and the surrounding area. In recent months, our news team has interviewed David Cameron, Ed Miliband and Nigel Farage, while also covering the latest naval stories at the Dockyard and even heading out with the Royal Marines into Plymouth Sound. We were also nominated for an Arqiva award this year for ‘Station of the Year, with TSA under 500 000.’

We need someone who is hard working, versatile and who feels passionate about delivering high quality local news. You should either have a BJTC accredited Journalism qualification and/or at least a year’s experience in radio news. Knowledge of the Burli system is desirable. You need to be confident in bulletin reading, news writing and have a sound legal knowledge, as well as a full, clean driving license.
