As an independent station, we're proud to provide a truly local news service, rather than be served by hubs or regional newsrooms. We've invested in staff, new hardware and software and are genuinely passionate about our news output.

A rare vacancy has arisen for a Broadcast Journalist to run our news department. You'll be responsible for our entire news output, including setting the news agenda, managing freelance staff, developing relationships with listeners and key contacts.

Ideally, you'll have a superb reading voice and have experience on Burli and RCS Zetta. You'll be passionate about local news, and have a handle on local sport. This is a unique opportunity to continue the development of our news service in Manchester, one of the most exciting news patches in the UK.
