Bauer Media are expanding their output from the flagship broadcast centre at One Golden Square. We now have vacancies for two Broadcast Systems Engineers to work across the key national radio brands, including Kiss, Magic and Absolute Radio.
- You’ll be the person the programming teams turn to day to day for technical advice and support. You’ll be the person who fixes things and comes up with creative solutions to complicated problems. You’ll work to get the best out of our infrastructure and systems. You’ll understand the importance of delivering great content to our audiences. You’ll help manage and execute the technical set up of outside broadcasts and assist with project work as required.
You will possess a technical background and be willing to learn quickly with the support of the Bauer Media technology teams. You will probably have a relevant degree and experience of student, hospital or community radio. Alternatively, you may have already been in the radio industry for some years and be looking to move to a more varied and demanding role. You will be a highly motivated and organised individual with great attention to detail and also a strong team player who will work closely with both the London programming teams and the wider Bauer technology department.
Based in London, the role will involve occasional travel to other Bauer sites or outside broadcast locations. We’re introducing a new shift rota, so you’ll have to work some early mornings, evenings and weekends (but not overnights); some out of hours and on call work is also required. In return, you’ll get 25 days holiday and a competitive salary.
This is a technical role which requires knowledge of IP networks and electronic components. Experience of maintaining audio routers, digital mixers and playout systems will be looked on favourably.
