A unique opportunity has arisen for a Communications Manager to join Bauer Media’s radio team based at One Golden Square, London. This exciting and demanding role is to undertake proactive consumer, trade PR, celebrity event invites & internal communications across key radio brands -  Magic Radio, KISS, Absolute Radio and the Bauer City Network, their presenters and events. You will also support other projects within the Bauer Media portfolio such as the Bauer Academy and Bauer’s charity Cash for Kids.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain strong contacts across all key media relevant to the role.
  • Ensure campaigns are highly relevant and planned to achieve maximum impact, are well targeted and achieve high levels of reach and engagement.
  • Be the first point of contact, along with the Communications Director (Radio) for incoming media queries and liaise with relevant business leaders to seek input and approval.
  • Act as spokesperson for the company/brands, as required.
  • Work with the Communications Director (Bauer Media) and ensure excellent collaboration with the Communications Director (Magazines), Commercial Trade Marketing team, trade PR agency and key stakeholders across the business.
  • Coach and assist in the development of the Communications Executive (Bauer Media).
  • Assist the Communications Director on crisis communications, as directed.
  • Work with Marketing, Content teams and Entertainment Hub to provide multi-platform PR & communications to support and amplify content or marketing strategies around brands, events, product developments or talent.
  • Maximise all Bauer cross platform content sharing opportunities and be the main point of contact for radio content teams.
  • Lead weekly/monthly planning meetings and provide PR counsel on the newsworthiness of content, events, talent and product developments.
  • Draft internal communications materials and execute plans.
  • Monitor and circulate coverage.
  • You will be a media professional with proven experience across consumer, trade, internal communications and social media. Crisis communications experience also an advantage. You’ll be adaptable and able to manage a large and varied workload, have a strong multi-platform contacts book, a good understanding of the media landscape with excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • You’ll be a creative thinker with the ability to produce accurate work when under the pressure of tight deadlines, have the ability to absorb knowledge and information quickly, be a natural problem-solver and have an advanced understanding of digital and social media.
  • You will have experience of successfully integrating PR in conjunction with Marketing activity and be able to innovative and develop ground-breaking PR activities which get our brands and presenters talked about.
