BFBS are seeking a Content Manager (podcast and audio content)

We’re looking for an experienced, on-demand audio expert, to deliver our strategy to innovate, in audience-led podcast and web content strands for BFBS Radio. In this dual role, you’ll also pitch for and make content for commercial clients, as part of the BFBS Creative agency team.

This is a new role and as such, an opportunity to shape BFBS’s future approaches to non-linear content, try new things, innovate with your ideas and encourage others to do the same. As our subject matter expert working alongside our team of multi-skilled, audio professionals, we’ll look to you for creative solutions, as well as to train and mentor other content creators.

You’ll have at least 3-years’experience in leading editorial decisions in an audio production environment and will be able to demonstrate success in devising and delivering a successful podcast strand. Strong, practical edit skills will be second nature and you’ll understand the intricacies of audience insight, SEO and publishing strategies. A wide knowledge of platform opportunities as well as the rights and compliances around third party content are also essential.

You’ll be passionate about on demand audio, audience/customer focussed and able to engage with stakeholders across internal and external environments, helping them to understand the opportunity the medium presents. You’ll have experience in commissioning & making content, as well as in supporting others’ work, shaping their skills.

This will be a busy job, with a variety of projects and developments to juggle so you’ll be well organised, with very high professional standards. Based at our HQ near Gerrard’s Cross in Buckinghamshire and at our London office, currently in Victoria, you’ll also be willing to travel more widely to gather material and work with remote teams.
