Creative Writer

A full-time creative job at RadioWorks in London
Posted 4 September 2019, 11.59am edt

We have a fantastic opening in our ranks for a Creative Writer to join the RadioWorks Group based in our London office in Fitzrovia.

The Role You will work closely with the Senior Creative Writer and assist the broader team to deliver outstanding audio advertising campaigns on a local, national and international scale. You’ll balance your time working from brief through to production, managing multiple projects and always ensuring you are working to our client’s budget and deadline.

Working across several sectors, some of your work will range from creating concepts for a variety of new to radio clients as well as, developing comms for tenured spenders and adapting & editing existing online, print or television copy for radio broadcast.

As well as working on radio campaigns we also work across the digital audio spectrum, writing for Spotify and Deezer just to name a couple, as well as working across the podcast arena. The audio opportunities are endless, we work across all things audio.

The Candidate You’re passionate about writing and can adapt your style into a commercial space. We’re after someone who’s able to not only bring a brief to life with the love, care and creative flair it deserves, you’ll be able to communicate these decisions to our clients effortlessly and confidently. You’re cool under pressure and aren’t afraid to contribute your ideas in brainstorms, pitches or presentations. Equally, you’ll need to respond well to criticism and keep a balanced, objective view of your work, always putting the client’s needs first. We’d want you to already have an understanding of the relevant codes and practises required for broadcast advertising too – a good eye for detail’s really important.

You’ll be a team player, capable of understanding the bigger picture, working alongside our producers, planners and account managers, building vital relationships which are crucial to providing clients managed and measured solutions.

At times, we might expect you to take on spec work, give some extra direction in a session or help putting together production costs – we love it when you ask questions though, so a team player who’s not afraid to speak up will feel right at home. An ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills and will be able to manage several deadlines at once, keeping close contact with clients at all times during the production process, ensuring everything broadcast is approved and appropriately archived.
