Your role: - Digital Content Producer – Virgin Radio
In this new and exciting Social Media focussed role, you will create and publish content for The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, working as part of the show’s production team in the mornings to reflect on-air output as it happens and to drive listening.
You will also work closely with the Digital Manager and Assistant Producers on the station’s wider digital strategy and output, planning and delivering content with the highest chance of increasing the engagement and reach of Virgin Radio, in line with the station’s key priorities.
Leading on creating and publishing Social Media content during live broadcasts of The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, as part of the show’s production team
Working with the Breakfast Show’s talent and guests to create bespoke content in a fast-paced environment, whilst providing regular updates to the Executive Producer
Particular focus on sharable video content from the Breakfast Show, delivering this to the most appropriate platforms with the right copy, tagging and calls to action
Working with the Digital Manager and Assistant Producers on forward-planning Social Media content, both for the Breakfast Show and other station output
Community management, responding to listener queries received via social media and liaising with those who need to be brought to air
Creating and publishing editorial website content (including music news, editorial features and supporting pieces for programming) Creating supporting website pages for show promotions where required, ensuring terms and conditions and competition entry mechanics are correct, clear and accessible Publishing daily content to Virgin Radio Anthems and Virgin Radio Chilled Social Media accounts, as well as monitoring communities, responding to queries and cross-promoting to main Virgin Radio accounts where appropriate Liaising with News UK Technology teams to report bugs and issues Creating and publishing supporting Social Media content during event-based programming (such as outside broadcasts) Assisting Digital Manager with additional duties where required/providing holiday cover What we’re looking for from you:
You will be an experienced producer of digital content who is a creative thinker with the ability to work confidently in a live broadcast environment. You'll have an appetite for all things digital, be a strong communicator and able to work under pressure to produce high quality, engaging content.
Desired skills: Experience publishing content on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube for a media brand (or in a similar field), excellent written communication skills, an eye for design and working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and similar software packages, as well as experience using website content management systems.
