Drive Presenter (Mon-Thu 4-7pm, Fri 4-6pm)
Due to an internal promotion, we have a vacancy on our Drive programme from September 2018 which gives someone the opportunity to join a thriving community radio station broadcasting across the City of Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire.
Applicants must be based in or around Cambridgeshire and have a knowledge of the area.
They should also have had previous radio experience, be able to react fast to breaking news and be able to competently interview anyone put in front of them.
This is an ideal opportunity for an ex professional wanting to keep their hand in or for someone seriously looking at building on their skills for a job in the industry.
This is a voluntary position.
Fiercely independent Small, well rounded and perfectly formed Strong minded with aspirations above our station Keen interest in all types of music and the arts Sometimes serious but also likes to party
Have a GSOH (sometimes you’ll be smiling in the face of Mr.Adversity). Be reliable and financially savvy (because the pay is more “Fish and Chips” than “Crêpes and Caviar”), Have own transport (cycle rack space provided). Be eloquent and well read (Guinness book of Hit Singles). Be experienced in the ways of the wireless. Sensitive and thoughtful but equally ready to “rock out”. Impeccable taste (in chocolate hobnobs and other assorted biscuitry)
