Role: Events Team Leader Territory: South West South Reporting to: S&P Manager

What we’re all about: Celador Radio forms part of the Celador Entertainment Group. We’re famous around the world for, amongst others, devising and launching the quiz show ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ and producing the film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. We also own and operate twenty local and regional radio stations across the south of England. We are dedicated to championing the individual creativity inherent in our stations and talent because we believe this is the only way to deliver high quality local content at a national level.

What the job entails: You will arrange and attend all commercial events in the South West South region. You will also work alongside the Marketing & PR Executive on non-commercial marketing events. When necessary you will be expected to join the S&P team in Bristol to assist with events.

You will manage low level engagement activity in the new postcodes for the South West which means hitting the streets, handing our merchandise to help convert new listeners to our stations. You will help to plan the events for the following year, contacting organisers, securing pitches and ensuring we have appropriate merchandise and event kit.

When necessary you will be expected to work weekends as part of your full-time hours.

This role will include logistical responsibilities related to events such as contacting winners and organising prize delivery, managing on the ground, on-air and online presence and booking presenters for events.

What are we looking for? Well you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to generate creative and effective ideas. You need to be organised and be able to plan and prioritise.

Ultimately, Radio sales is all about self-motivation, commercial acumen and above all a ‘can do’ attitude. As well as this, it’s important that you can demonstrate Celador’s values:

  • Freedom to be creative, to come up with new ideas, to do things differently and to be ourselves.
  • Dedication to creating the highest quality output.
  • Care for our teams and the local communities we serve.
  • Above everything else to have a passion for radio.
