First Line Support Technician

A full-time engineering job at UKRD Group in Redruth, UK
Posted 24 May 2018, 10.04am edt

We run radio stations and digital agencies across the UK and following internal promotions, need a 1st Line Support Technician based in Redruth, Cornwall. As part of our Group IT and Engineering team your role will be to handle incoming technical support calls and tickets to keep our end users and services ticking over. You'll be escalating to our regional engineers for 2nd and 3rd line issues, though over time we'd love you to be able to deal with some of those too. There is also the opportunity to get hands-on with projects that the engineers are working on to help grow your skillset.

You will be answering in-house Support requests Monday - Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm from end users about issues ranging from forgotten passwords to radio stations being off air. Although the bulk of the work is office IT related, the broadcast aspect of the role is also significant but full training will be given.

Strong IT knowledge and ability is key (though not necessarily at enterprise level), as is a determined and logical approach to problem solving and “making stuff work”. You must be an excellent communicator, in person, on the phone and digitally, to ensure a great working relationship with end users and your colleagues. We will expect you to become self sufficient and effectively manage your own time.

Here at UKRD we believe in creating a great place to work and rewarding staff with a great benefits package - if you fit the bill then we’d really love to talk to you!

This job closed on 21 June, 2018 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
