We are looking to recruit a freelance Broadcast Assistant to work with us in our brand new studio based in the beautiful surroundings of the Greater Manchester countryside. The initial contract is part-time (2 days per week) for 3 months.

Main Duties:
- Completing rough edits of audio interviews using Adobe Audition
- Organisation of raw and edited files on our cloud-based system
- Basic social media management
- Occasional basic administration tasks
- Assist our Producer in shaping podcast episodes and ideas
Essential:
- Own laptop that is able to run Adobe Audition (Creative Cloud)
- University degree in Radio Production / Broadcasting / Media Production or minimum 2 years working in professional broadcast
- Proficient in using Adobe Audition
- Able to perform natural sounding audio edits
- Have a firm understanding of pacing
- Basic audio mixing skills
- Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
- A positive can-do attitude
- Passionate about podcasting, speech radio and audio storytelling
- Creative, embraces innovation and follows trends within the industry
Desirable:
- Clean driving licence and own car
- Experience working in network radio / public radio
- Experience in video editing using Adobe Premiere
- Experience interview gathering
- Experience in writing engaging copy / show notes
