We are: Wireless is a leading UK and Irish media company, which is wholly owned by News Corp UK and Ireland Limited. Wireless operates 32 national and local radio stations across the UK and Ireland.

These include talkSPORT, which is the world’s biggest sports radio station and global audio partner of the Premier League, alongside popular national digital stations talkSPORT 2, talkRADIO and Virgin Radio.

From FM104 in Dublin, to 96.4 The Wave in Swansea, our local radio brands are distinguished by their connections with their local communities.

Your role - FM104/Q102 -You would be the Production Manager of the two stations which are Hot AC and AC. These are two of the biggest station in the market which are constantly striving to keep ahead of the competition. You will manage this department and primarily looking after both stations image on air.

Day to day you will:

Craft the sound of FM104 and Q102 to an exceptionally high level and create an instantly recognisable brand.

  • Create occasional Imaging to live on Digital Services (Total Access and Q102 80s).
  • Record and mix all sponsorship activity for FM104 and Q102 and dealing with a large sales team to ensure deadlines are met. Work closely with the Content Director and Programming Team in creating ideas and audio that is instantly recognisable in the Dublin Market. Work alongside Dublin’s No. 1 Breakfast Show, The Strawberry Alarm Clock in creating top-drawer audio elements, songs and sketches. Set up, record, mix and master live music sessions to a high standard in studio when required. Manage other Imaging and Commercial Producers across FM104, Q102 and LMFM. Mentor producers with small group or individual sessions and workshops to improve their creative and technical abilities. Delegate and assign tasks to other producers as appropriate and track progress. Maintain interview and Imaging archive and database of audio to facilitate efficient re-use of material. Creation of Music Mixes for use at Outside Broadcasts, events and for emergency audio purposes for both Radio Stations and in multi-formats.

What we’re looking for from you:

Strong managerial skills. Be able to work to deadlines. Full of creativity. Team work and communication skills. Attention to detail and be part of the idea process at S&P meetings.

Extensive experience in a market-leading Radio Station or Production House. An understanding of music theory and the ability to use musical elements throughout. Good editorial judgements for talk show content and promos. Stay up to date and current on lifestyle related to formats. Managing other Imaging and Commercial Producer’s within the company. Strong writing, production and editing skills for a multimedia business.

Technical Skills:

Advanced knowledge of Protools 2018 and associated plugins (Avid, Waves, Native Instruments) Proficient with Mac and PC operating systems. Experience with RCS Products (Zetta, GSelector) is an advantage but not essential. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite and Trello.
