The multi-award-winning BBC Studios Comedy department is the world’s largest producer of comedy, responsible for some of the most watched and critically acclaimed programmes. BBC Comedy prides itself on working with the very best in comedy talent, new and established, on and off screen; across radio, online and all four BBC television channels.

Radio Comedy is the largest producer of comedy in the world, responsible for about 150 hours of output per year, mainly for BBC Radio 4. Long running and much loved titles like The News Quiz, The Now Show, Just a Minute, I’m Sorry I haven’t a Clue and Clare in The Community alongside newer and highly successful shows like John Finnemore’s Souvenir Programme, Mark Steel’s in Town, and Newsjack on 4 Extra.


The Production Co-ordinator will act as the focal point of contact between production team members/crew and the production office, and co-ordinate various production functions. This will include providing support to the Unit Manager & Producer in securing and managing the arrangements for all the resources needed for the production.


The Production Co-ordinator will work to the Producer & Unit Manager, and will be line managed by the Unit Manager on a day-to-day basis. He/she will have an understanding of and commitment to the aims of Production; will be receptive to the needs of the full range of programmes, new technologies and new ways of working.
