A full-time journalism job at Lincs FM Group in Lincoln and Doncaster
Posted 15 August 2019, 10.16am edt
The Lincs FM Group is recruiting.
We're looking for full-time and freelance journalists for both our Yorkshire and Lincolnshire News-Hubs.
Do you fancy being more than a rip and read newsreader, but instead reporting on real local news that matters to our listeners?
This summer, our journalists have interviewed Prime Minister Boris Johnson, covered serious flooding in which hundreds of homes were evacuated and, learnt to juggle – live on air – from the World Juggling Convention! If sports your thing, then we've also covered the promotion of both Barnsley FC and Lincoln City.
In YORKSHIRE, you'd be working with our team based in Doncaster, reading bulletins and out reporting on a rota basis for our stations, Trax FM, Dearne FM, Rother FM and Ridings FM.
In LINCOLNSHIRE, you'd be working with our team based in Lincoln, reading bulletins and out reporting on a rota basis for our stations Lincs FM, Compass FM and Rutland Radio.
We're also looking for FREELANCERS to provide ad-hoc holiday and sickness cover at both sites.
A passion for news and current affairs is crucial, as is a full driving licence. Knowledge of the areas we serve and an understanding of commercial radio news would help but isn't essential as full training will be given.
For an application form please visit either lincsfm.co.uk or traxfm.co.uk.
When applying, please indicate which role you would like to be considered for: whether it's for Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, both, Freelance or all of the above.
The closing date for all applications is Monday, 2 September 2019 with interviews taking place in early September.
The Lincs FM Group is an equal opportunities employer, a company committed to staff development.
