In terms of Reach within its TSA, Wessex FM is one of the most listened-to local commercial radio stations in England and has a successful commercial track record to complement that position. A small but beautifully formed local commercial radio station at the heart of the Dorset community it so ably serves. There’s very little you can’t find out about Wessex FM, it’s team, UKRD Group and what the aspirations and ambitions for the station should be – and are - going forward. As the Managing Director, it’ll be a business as close to running your own as it is possible to get. You’ll struggle to find any radio group, anywhere, that gives you the level of autonomy that UKRD gives to its MD’s. You’ll want to handle the responsibility, cope with the accountability and approach things in such a way as to be as ambitious for your team as you are for yourself. Additionally, you’ll be part of a values based organisation which focusses a lot of attention upon its core values and culture. That’s something you’d need to care about and demonstrate as much as the rest of us do. So, that’s it! That’s all you’re getting, as there’s not much else you need to know.
