Overall Purpose: The mission of Marketing at Global is to create, nurture and grow some of the UK’s most loved media brands in order to help Global achieve its immediate business goals, as well as making sure we embrace a brave new digital future. Working across the Global portfolio our Marketing Co-ordinators work alongside our Marketing Executives to support the delivery of  best in class marketing which drives business and brand growth and is always relevant and exciting for our audiences.              What you’ll be doing…

You will work with and take the lead from the Marketing Executive for your region, to deliver the Marketing agenda for your area. You'll split your working week between local sites to ensure you are fully integrated with each station and are recognised as their Marketing expert. You'll split your working week as agreed with your Marketing Executive between the sites in your region, to ensure each station is supported according to current business priorities. You’ll work with your Marketing Executive taking the annual through-the-line marketing plans for each Global brand and be instrumental in delivering them across your area.  You’ll be able to interpret the insights and data for your area to ensure activation of regional plans always maximises opportunity for growth of Global brands. You will have an understanding of the full marketing mix, and how to use it as required to implement Marketing plans, embracing digital marketing and ensuring it is front of mind for all campaigns you deliver. When appropriate you’ll deliver focused locally relevant campaigns that have been planned for your area to drive brand awareness, consideration and trial. Using brand tool-kits you’ll deliver key network campaigns, under the guidance of your Marketing Executive, ensuring these are both delivered strategically and measured effectively. You’ll take agreed brand relevant low/no cost or contra partnerships and implement them, ensuring best in class activity and value is always delivered. You’ll ensure all campaigns deliver against the KPIs and targets set and input into post-campaign evaluations, ensuring best practice is always shared. You’ll highlight tactical opportunities across your area to your Marketing Executive, and work with them and your internal stakeholders to optimise them. You’ll support your stations' local Breakfast Shows in content production and tactical promotion. 

Who you’ll work with…

Your peers within the Regional Marketing Team, including Marketing Executives as well as the Heads of Marketing and Marketing Managers for each Global brand. The Managing Editors and Managing Directors of your stations, ensuring you're a respected member of the Marketing team delivering the marketing agenda and brand development within your area A whole host of internal departments from CRM, to Procurement, to Health and Safety to ensure everything you deliver is best in class.

You’ll have experience in…

Working alongside a Marketing Executive for at least a year, translating brand strategies into innovative multi-platform marketing campaigns. Working in marketing in a national media business. Delivering innovative campaigns using the full marketing mix ensuring KPIs are met for each campaign you're working on. Delivering market partnerships designed to build brand awareness with limited resource. Managing casual workers to deliver best in class experiential activity. Health & Safety at events legislations and practices, including completing Risk Assessments

You'll have these skills and attributes…

 A leader with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, a first class communicator and talented project manager who will establish respect, credibility and trust throughout the business. A autonomous, creative, innovative and resourceful, solution orientated person with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders. Commercially astute with a clear understanding of how our business makes money and the role brand marketing plays in this. Self motivated, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment. An analytical thought process and good with numbers. A passion for learning and remaining up to date with external best marketing practice. Personal resilience. Held a valid UK driving license for 12 months.
