This is a field sales role, operating in the North East area. You will be responsible for generating new business, selling a range of radio and digital products. It’s essential you are confident, articulate and numerate to enable you to professionally communicate with clients. A media sales background is preferred but not essential to the role, however some knowledge of sales processes and field sales experience is. You will be working in a small team so self-motivated, creative and solution focused applicants will thrive in our business. The market we operate in, is very competitive so you must be determined to succeed in the most challenging of situations. Successful executives will have the opportunity to earn fantastic levels of commission, in one of the busiest markets outside of London. Key Responsibilities:- Adhere to UKRD / Star Radio’s ‘Creative Led Sell’ methods of selling. Manage personal time effectively. Deliver exceptional level of customer service. Have an in-depth knowledge of clients’ business to deliver client focussed business advertising and marketing solutions. Ensure knowledge of product portfolio, including airtime, sponsorship and promotions, and on-line products is up to date and extensive. Effective territory management, Lead generation, new business development & retention of client base. High level of communication and reporting to line manager Sales and forecasting accuracy. Achievement of financial and activity targets. Ensure all deadlines are met. Effective liaison with appropriate parties, i.e. other media consultants, support staff, other departments within the radio station and clients. Practice UKRD’s Culture and Core Values in every aspect of the role.
