This role may involve some work across the weekends too. You'll be obsessed with the finer details that go into making every piece of content a success and have a natural thirst to make things better the following day.

  • You'll keep the show diary up-to-date making sure we have a regular flow of relevant content ensuring the show is reflective of what our core demographic are talking about, and ensure it fits within the narrative of the wider station too.

  • You will report directly to the Deputy Managing Editor and work very closely with the both the wider Management Team and on air talent to produce a show that targets and grows the station's core audience.

  • You will also be required to collaborate with Capital’s wider digital, video, press and marketing teams to ensure your content and shows are optimized to drive listenership and gain maximum exposure.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, this is a studio producer role; not an audio or imaging producer.

  • You'll be full of ideas but also possess the ability to stimulate others to create great content. You'll always be thinking further ahead, and thinking strategically.

  • A natural problem solver; together with your creative flair and judgment you'll choose the right programming solutions for Capital.

  • You'll be able to manage some of the best talent in the industry, and have the knowledge to gain their respect and coach them to achieve their full potential.

  • You'll know and respond positively to the needs and expectations of others to achieve the right outcome. You'll understand the target audience inside out and have a sound understanding on how to grow audiences.

  • You'll be confident when working towards your own personal objectives as well as helping others in achieving business goals, regularly setting and stretching new standards and goals.
