We’re looking for an experienced hit music-loving producer to join the Capital team. If you’re confident in creating cutting edge content for the UK’s No.1 Hit Music Station – on radio, on TV, online and on socials – then this could be the role for you. You need to have your finger firmly on the pulse of all the latest hit-music trends & celebrity gossip, as well as the ideas and content to help engage our audience every day.
Who we're looking for:
We’re looking for a creative and pro-active producer with experience/knowledge of working with a youth brand audience. You must have fantastic talent management skills, as well as the creativity and strategic planning ability to drive shows forward; we’ll need you to strive to do things differently to help us remain the industry leader in hit music radio.
What you'll be doing:
You will be responsible for all elements of a show’s output, from generating ideas through to the recording and editing of content. You'll work in the studio, in a live show environment on a daily basis, and drive planning and creative sessions for the show each day.
You will be responsible for implementing station competitions, production, events, and more as well as delivering top quality output across our schedule. This role may involve some work across the weekends too. You'll be obsessed with the finer details that go into making every piece of content a success and have a natural thirst to make things better the following day.
Under the guidance of our digital team, you'll lead our social media offering for the show(s) you're responsible for, finding new and exciting ways to engage and grow audience using the show's and station's tone of voice.
You'll need a through understanding of broadcast regulations and law, and be able to apply this understanding in the pressure of a live studio environment.
You'll keep the show diary up-to-date making sure we have a regular flow of relevant content ensuring the show is reflective of what our core demographic are talking about, and ensure it fits within the narrative of the wider station too.
You will report directly to the Deputy Managing Editor and work very closely with the both the wider Management Team and on air talent to produce a show that targets and grows the station's core audience.
You will also be required to collaborate with Capital’s wider digital, video, press and marketing teams to ensure your content and shows are optimized to drive listenership and gain maximum exposure.
- For the avoidance of doubt, this is a studio producer role; not an audio or imaging producer.

You'll have loads of experience from working in a similar type of role.
- You'll be confident using Genesys, Adobe Audition, Gusto online content management systems (or similar). You'll also be confident using the radio studio (including driving a desk) and should be competent on social media including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.
