A full-time journalism job at Radio City in Merseyside

Bauer Media is looking for an experienced news reporter to join our award-winning team in the North West, covering news stories for our iconic station for Liverpool, Cheshire and North Wales, Radio City.

Radio City and sister station Greatest Hits Liverpool are the most listened-to commercial stations in the area and our passion for news, our large and loyal listenership and the unique vantage point high above the centre of one of England’s most vibrant cities have given us a reputation for lively, ground-breaking reporting and campaigning journalism.

You must have a great sense for a story, and an ability to make and maintain good local contacts. An excellent voice will be required, with the ability to convey news in a conversational yet authoritative manner. A sound knowledge of multi-media platforms is important, enabling you to edit and publish stories to our audience via our Twitter account whilst on the go across the patch. We are also keen for you to develop and produce documentaries and extended news specials. The role will require a minimum of two years professional on-air experience.

Excellent legal knowledge of broadcast law is essential, as is an ability to operate in high pressured situations, making swift and sound decisions.
