A full-time journalism job at Wessex FM in Dorchester

Wessex FM is offering an exciting opportunity to join our local news team.

We are looking for a qualified broadcast radio journalist or graduate to work on a part time basis at our station in Dorchester, Dorset. (Minimum of 20 hours per week)

The role will involve producing trusted and memorable online local news content for our website www.wessexfm.com as well as material for broadcast in our news bulletins.

We will want to get your voice on air too, so experience of news reading is preferred but full training can be given. There will also be a chance to add to the hours you do, by providing us with cover for holidays and sick leave.

We are looking for someone who will relish getting out into the community, going to press calls and reporting from the scene of breaking stories. You will also need sound legal knowledge and a flair for engaging on social media.
