Overnight Flexi Broadcaster/Editor

A part-time other job at INRIX in Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Posted 24 April 2015, 10.26am edt

You would be responsible for providing live and pre-recorded travel bulletins to our radio clients from the Traffic Scotland National Control Centre in South Queensferry. You would be handling 'jamline' callers, contact many sources from the local CCTV control room to the police or relevant agency who maintains the road network and being responsible for collating this data in our custom-built database. The ability to present articulately and confidently is a must, whilst an excellent knowledge of roads across Scotland would be an advantage. We are looking for broadcasters who can cope with the demands of creating consistently excellent bulletins for some of the most successful radio stations in the country. You may be in the radio industry already and looking for a change of scenery, or perhaps a new challenge in a different environment. Alternatively, you may have broadcast experience in student, hospital or community radio, and want to take the next step into becoming a professional broadcaster.

Our employees range from university graduates to seasoned radio professionals and many combine working for us with other roles within the radio or other industries. Due to the nature of our work, no two days are the same! As well as the media, our traffic data is supplied to websites, sat navs and smart phone apps. INRIX is an internationally successful company and provides its employees with resources that are second to none. One thing you will immediately notice is that we are a close-knit team and work in a professional yet friendly environment.

The Job: Applicants should be able to work overnight from 10 pm to 6 am, 16 hours per week with flexibility to work additional hours if required.

Closing Date: Friday 8th May 2015
