The Company

We’re the UK's largest independent publisher of audiobooks and we work with some fantastic clients including Audible and Penguin Random House.

Our audiobook department has gone from strength to strength in recent years. We have six dedicated audiobook studios and an amazing in-house team supported by a brilliant roster of freelancers.

We are part of the SNK Publishing Group which also includes SNK Studios and Red Apple Advertising, so audio runs through the core of everything we do.

Across the wider business our other work includes the following:

Audio- Radio and Spotify commercials, 3D audio creative, podcasts, audio post production, immersive audio experiences and media planning/buying.

Digital- Website design and build, campaign microsites, Spotify interactive experiences, rich media units, web banners.

Video- Brand storytelling, animation.

The Role

To assist the Head of Audiobooks in managing the post-production schedule to ensure all titles are delivered on time, to an extremely high standard and to the specification of our clients. Your time will be split between project management and editing/mastering audiobooks as well as other long-form projects.

The Person We Are Looking For

You have an eye for detail and you’re comfortable managing many different projects simultaneously. You never miss deadlines because you know the importance of time management, both yours and the team you’re working with.

As such you have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will be able to make sure everyone is on the right track.

You have a passion for audio and will have worked in the industry previously. You’ll be a dab hand at editing using ProTools.

You are willing to go that extra mile for your colleagues and clients, and you buzz off working as part of a busy team that always delivers.

You’re ambitious, talented and ready for this exciting challenge.

Key Responsibilities (written specifically for each role)

-Mastering and editing a whole range of audiobooks, including multi-voice performances.

-Managing the post-production schedule of our audiobook department to ensure titles are edited and delivered on time.

-Ensuring each title is edited and checked while remaining true to the performance and specification of our clients.

-Managing the post-production budget for each title.

-Troubleshooting if required.

-File management.

-Producing audiobooks when required.

-Looking after talent and making all visitors feel extremely welcome and well looked after.

Essential Requirements

-Passionate about audio.

-Exceptional organisational and time management skills.

-Excellent attention to detail and highly organised.

-Proactive and able to work on own initiative.

-Ability to problem solve and work under pressure.

-Very good knowledge of ProTools.

-Friendly, approachable and a team player.

-Must be eligible to work in the UK.

Bonus Points

-Experience of working in an audiobook recording studio.

-Fluency in other languages.

-Music production experience.
