This is a rare opportunity to join the production team in a wide-ranging, full-time role that takes in promotions production, station imaging and live show production.
The role would suit someone who has already worked in radio in a junior or administrative position and who is looking to progress into production on a multi award-winning national radio station.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, creative and has audio production skills and an understanding of the priorities of commercial radio.
You’ll be working on a team that is responsible for the writing, recording and production of sponsorship and promotion trails for Absolute Radio and Magic, and the writing and production of Absolute Radio’s station imaging. You’ll also assist with on-air production of live competitions and other on-air S&P and programming activities.
Taking briefs from internal and external customers and writing scripts based on key messages and station tone of voice Recording, editing and producing promotional trails and other commercial material Co-ordinating job lists and liaising with sales and external clients to ensure deadlines are met Ensuring correct audio copy is loaded and ready for broadcast Working with the team on creative concepts and script ideas for station imaging, sponsorship and promotions Assisting with live on-air production of competitions and other content items. Administration of music reporting, script clearance and team priorities as required.
Good written English with demonstrable creative experience in scriptwriting Good understanding of commercial radio and on-air commercial activities Good understanding of ProTools – in particular on Mac. Good understanding of Microsoft Office. Awareness of media law and Ofcom compliance
Experience of recording and directing voiceover sessions Experience with RCS Zetta and GSelector Comfortable with task co-ordination Comfortable with liaising with clients as required Basic understanding of social media and video production.
Demonstrates creative thought Able to clearly describe audio ideas and concepts Demonstrates understanding of the commercial requirements of radio Able to work well in a team and provide team administrative support as required Good understanding of the process of the production of audio Positive and proactive attitude
