We are currently recruiting for a Programme, Content & Automation Producer to work on Planet Rock based in Golden Square. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you’ll have responsibility for writing, producing and delivering broadcast relevant programming content and automated programming for Planet Rock across all broadcast platforms. Most importantly you’ll need to have a real passion for all things Rock. If you don’t this isn’t the job for you!

Key Areas of responsibility

  • Produce live programming and automated programming delivered to time, scheduled correctly, compliant and ready for broadcast.
  • First class knowledge and experience of GSelector and Zetta.
  • To be responsible for skilful operation of the technical and studio systems required for playout and pre-recording of programming.
  • To have a good understanding of target audience’s tastes and create relevant content.
  • To deliver the station format in line with the Music & Content Director’s requirements.
  • Strong brand related editorial judgement.
  • When required, write scripts for programming idents, trails and commercial promos.
  • First class knowledge of using social media to support programming content and create station awareness on all platforms. Knowledge of Adobe Premier or equivalent for editing visualised content.
  • The management and production of voice-over sessions.
  • Managing high profile guests & presenters to the Radio Station.
  • Producing ROT’s of all commercial activity as required.
  • Understanding and knowledge of the OFCOM broadcasting code.
  • To ensure the station administration is run and delivered in a timely and organised manner.

The ideal candidate must have proven experience of producing, editing and delivering on air content both live and via automation. Experience of editing and uploading to social media channels is essential as well as filming and editing video content and a deep and thorough knowledge of contemporary and back catalogue rock music.

The ability to use initiative, work autonomously and be well organised is also a must.
