Programming Assistant

A full-time programming job at JACKfm in Oxford, United Kingdom
Posted 6 October 2015, 11.19am edt

Fancy joining one of the fastest growing radio brands in the country? Course you do…

JACKfm Oxfordshire happens to be the most awarded local commercial radio station in the country (well…it says so on Wikipedia) and JACK2 isn’t bad either. We’re unconventional and we simply don’t do things in the ‘normal’ way. We’re now broadcasting to millions and we don’t want to stop there.

We’re looking for that extra special person to join our family and be able to add to what we already produce day in day out at the legendary Dumpy Building in Oxford.

If you’ve worked in radio for years and are set in your ways - this won’t be for you. If you’re fresh out of the blocks, a fast learner, love playing and can see an opportunity to have a bit of fun in everything - this might be for you.

Here’s a bit of what we’d want you to do:

  • Assist with the programming and music scheduling of all JACK services
  • Talk to and recording listeners on the streets every day
  • Edit audio
  • Write production
  • Tech op live programmes
  • Look after Social Media
  • Think differently
  • Meet deadlines
  • Muck in at any level at any time

…don’t worry if you’re not brilliant at all the above. You’ll pick it up if you’re the right person with the right outlook.

So, if you fancy joining the most exciting, ambitious and absolutely potty radio brand out there, JACK might be the place for you.

This job closed on 15 October, 2015 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
