The Company Our client is one of the UK’s key media players, an award-winning household name with a growing portfolio of instantly recognizable media brands covering a range of national and regional media products across Print, digital and broadcast media. They are responsible for some of the UK’s most iconic media brands. They provide customers from SMEs to PLCs with innovative print, web based and broadcast advertising solutions that increase their client’s sales, providing marketing and information through a powerful media based solution. Their radio division currently require a Radio Advertising Field Sales Executive.
The Role They currently require a Radio Advertising Field Sales Executive to sell advertising and sponsorship to new and existing SME and corporate customers in Dundee, Tayside, and surrounding areas. This role will involve the management of a territory where you will be responsible for targeting an already identified potential client base and sourcing new leads. You will be responsible for warm and cold telemarketing calls to obtain face to face sales meetings with potential customers. This is a structured sale where you will identify the business needs then create, design and present innovative advertising solutions tailored to the client to ensure results. Once on board you will manage and nurture existing accounts, ensuring optimisation of revenue streams. You will have the support and back up of strong case studies, presentation tools, metrics and marketing information to ensure sales success.
The Candidate Ideally you will have some experience of selling advertising space from any media sector (i.e magazines, directories, online, exhibition, newspapers, etc). You will be able to put across a strong sales argument with excellent presentation skills, drive and enthusiasm and the ability to come up with creative ideas that are commercially viable. You will have a strong understanding of the media and marketing departments, coupled with drive, motivation and passion to develop new business in a competitive market.
Alternatively you will be of graduate caliber and looking to break into media sales. You will have worked in any targeted sales environment such as the mobile telecoms retail sector. You will be commercially aware, motivated and have a good understanding of the sales process. You will have the tenacity to drive sales forward be PC literate, creative, ambitious, articulate and proactive.You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels
